How to Install the Transaction Line Distribution SuiteApp:
Installation:
1. Go to the SuiteApps tab.
2. In the Search Apps field, enter Transaction Line Distribution.
3. Click the Transaction Line Distribution SuiteApp tile.
4. On the top right area of the Transaction Line Distribution SuiteApp details page, click Install.
Go to Setup > Accounting > Transaction Distribution Templates > New. In the Template Name field, enter a unique name for your template.
Selecting a Template or creating a Line-level Quick Rule
NOTE: Creating a distribution template is optional, as you can create a line-level quick rule for distributions.
Create line-level Distribution Quick Rule (Items and/or Expenses):
Check or clear the boxes according to your preferences:
Transaction Lines:
View the details of your chosen transaction line and access additional information about it.
Distribution Information:
1. Check “Distribute Taxes” to distribute the transaction line tax amount in the template lines.
2. Check “Use Source Accounts” to use the accounts from the source transaction to the selected transaction line.
3. Check “Use Source Custom Segments” to use the custom segments from the source transaction to the selected transaction line.
4. Check “Use Source Class” to use the class segment from the source transaction to the selected transaction line.
5. Check “Use Source Department” to use the department segment from the source transaction to the selected transaction line.
6. Check “Use Source Location” to use the location segment from the source transaction to the selected transaction line.
7. Check “Add as Template” to create a template rule
Distribution Lines:
1. Select where, i.e. Subsidiary, Account, Amounts, etc, to which the transaction line amount will be distributed.
2. Save.
The Distribution Journal Entry (in this example) is automatically created:
The Distribution List is updated according to the Quick Rule or specified Template:
